Our prestigious school has an enviable location in the very heart of the capital: a few minutes walk from Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden and London Theatreland. Established in 1964, Regent London was the first Regent school. We have over 50 years’ experience of teaching English so you can be sure of reaching your academic goals with us.

Our school is very centrally located, within easy reach of major London attractions. We are located in a grand historic building in a quiet street. The building once belonged to the famous diarist, Samuel Pepys. It is next to Embankment Gardens and the River Thames - a quiet oasis of learning in the heart of busy London.

About our location

Regent Language Training is located at 12 Buckingham Street, in one of central London’s most distinctive and well-connected areas. Just moments from the North Bank of the River Thames, the school is ideally placed between the historic Strand and the Embankment, surrounded by some of the capital’s most recognisable landmarks, cultural institutions and public spaces.

The area has a strong sense of London’s history. Buckingham Street itself is one of the historic streets running down towards the river, while the nearby Embankment is lined with grand buildings and gardens. A short walk brings you to Victoria Embankment Gardens, an elegant green space beside the Thames, or to landmarks including Cleopatra’s Needle and the Golden Jubilee Bridges. From the river, there are excellent views across London, and the South Bank is easily reached on foot.

Across the Thames, the South Bank offers a very different atmosphere: lively, creative and international. Its riverside walk is home to cafés, restaurants, markets and cultural venues, including the Southbank Centre, Royal Festival Hall and National Theatre. The London Eye is also nearby, and a walk along the river provides views of many of London’s best-known buildings and landmarks. The area is an excellent place to spend an afternoon or evening after lessons, whether you want to visit an exhibition, see a performance or simply find somewhere to eat and enjoy the atmosphere.

Covent Garden is also within easy walking distance. Known for its historic Piazza, theatres, restaurants and fashionable shops, it is one of the most vibrant parts of the city. Nearby, you can explore the theatres of the West End, the galleries and museums around Trafalgar Square, or the restaurants and independent streets of Soho and Seven Dials.

For those who enjoy shopping, dining and a little luxury, the surrounding area offers plenty of choice. Smart boutiques, internationally known brands and luxury hotels can be found throughout Covent Garden, the Strand and neighbouring parts of the West End. At the same time, the location is close to quieter corners of central London, with riverside gardens and green spaces offering somewhere to take a break from the pace of the city.

London’s political and historic centre is also close by. The Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and Westminster are within easy reach, making it possible to walk from the school through some of the most recognisable parts of the capital. A stroll along the Thames can take you from the Embankment towards Westminster, with the river and many of London’s historic buildings providing a spectacular backdrop.

The school is also exceptionally convenient for transport. Charing Cross and Embankment stations are nearby, while Waterloo station is just across the river, providing both Underground and National Rail connections. This makes Regent Language Training an excellent base not only for exploring central London but for travelling to other parts of the city and beyond.
